Craig Knowles – Lymphatic Drainage Part 3 – Surgeries and Tools /event/craig-knowles-lymphatic-drainage-part-3-surgeries-and-tools/ /event/craig-knowles-lymphatic-drainage-part-3-surgeries-and-tools/#respond Fri, 12 Jun 2026 09:00:00 +0000 /?post_type=tribe_events&p=21428 Lymphatic Massage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then beyond the lymph nodes to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system. Lymphatic Massage is a very gentle manual treatment that is proven to reduce swelling by dramatically enhancing the function of the lymphatic system. Lymphatic Massage is also known to improve the quality of sleep, decrease pain, calm the nervous system, and benefit the immune system. This technique will greatly benefit your clients who have:

  • soft-tissue injuries;
  • rheumatoid arthritis;
  • high stress levels/anxiety disorders;
  • fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue;
  • surgical trauma/edema;
  • migraine headaches;
  • cancer/oncology diagnosis;
  • sinus congestion or allergies;
  • mild, medically-uncomplicated lymphedema;
  • clients in hospice or palliative care;

Part 3:

takes the routines we learned in Part 2 and modifies them for specific ortho and cosmetic surgeries. You will also learn to techniques to treat scar tissue using scraping tools and cupping.

Lymphatic Certifications

After completing Part 1 and Part 2, practice, practice, practice. When you feel you are ready, retake PART 2. On Day one of the class there will be a chance to practice, to iron out any last kinks. On Day 2 when the full body practical is performed, you will be evaluated on the skills you perform. IF you show you are competent and safely applying all the techniques taught in Part 1 and Part 2, you will receive a Lymphatic Massage Certification. Attendance alone does not guarantee a Certification, you must demonstrate proper application of ALL techniques.

Because this course is 12 hours hands on, please bring sheets and lotion to class.

Carrie Taylor’s Facial Fundamentals & HOPMNRS Approach to Assessment /event/carrie-taylors-facial-fundamentals-hopmnrs-approach-to-assessment-2/ /event/carrie-taylors-facial-fundamentals-hopmnrs-approach-to-assessment-2/#respond Sat, 13 Jun 2026 10:00:00 +0000 /?post_type=tribe_events&p=21501 Day 1:Fascial Fundamentals

This workshop will give participants an introduction to the “Taylor Technique” style of myofascial assessment & treatment, and how to incorporate this work into their current practice. Specifically, strain/ counterstrain, using limbs as levers, pin & drag, skin rolling, pick up & roll are all shown in several areas of the body, focusing on palpation of superficial and deep layers of fascia, and differentiating between the two.
Learning about the elements of fascia and how to dialogue on this topic with prospective and current clients, will help participants incorporate this work into their current massage practice, while managing client expectations. Therapists will become proficient at using these techniques everywhere in the body, and the focused hands-on practice in palpation, is a skill that will be demonstrated throughout the seminar, in addition to body mechanics.
This class is the platform for the other 9 topics in the level 1 series, and gives the healthcare practitioner a firm foundation in applying palpative skill effectively. DVDs and downloads are available for all ten topics in this myofascial certification series, as well as ten level 2 DVDs and ten level 3 DVDs now available at www.taylortechniquesinc.com. Level 1 textbook is available in downloadable and hard copy formats on amazon/kindle!

Day 2: HOPMNRS Approach to Assessment

This course offers an in depth look at Assessment and Treatment from a myofascial perspective. Therapists will be taken through a very detailed process on how to approach assessing a client, from History/intake, to observation, movement and posture analysis, as well as palpation and neurological assessment, referral pain recognition, and special tests when needed. This approach is designed to increase the therapist’s confidence and expertise when assessing a client, giving them the necessary information to form a highly effective treatment plan.
